As a Marketing Automation Manager, you will lead our marketing automation department and will be a key contributor to our agency's marketing automation strategy and implementation capabilities. The Marketing Automation Manager will work closely with our account leadership, interactive, creative, and media + content teams to provide our clients with effective omni-channel solutions.
The ideal candidate will have a combination of marketing automation platform (MAP) knowledge (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Marketo, or Pardot), understanding of how marketing automation fits into a client’s marketing mix, experience in training and managing a team, business analyst insight, technical capabilities, and a solid understanding of marketing automation best practices.

- Serve as Marketing Automation department leadership, management, and accountability (LMA)
- Own team capacity, workflow and process
- Recommend strategies on platforms, training, process, and staffing
- Help grow current clients and land new business with account service

Professional skills + qualifications needed for consideration:
- 4-year degree in marketing/communications or relevant field
- 8+ years of experience in digital and email marketing
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience a must
- Deep expertise in marketing automation processes, including lead generation and nurturing, campaign management, and reporting
- Knowledge of interface and data flow between marketing automation tools and CRMs
- Proven leadership and management experience
- Passionate about helping to attract, land, and lead clients to leverage marketing automation solutions
- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to quickly learn new industries and new business models
- Ability to translate client/industry research into effective marketing automation strategies
- Attention to detail with the ability to efficiently multi-task in a deadline-driven atmosphere
- Ability to work independently within our collaborative team environment to meet client goals
- Outstanding ability to think creatively and solve problems
- Ability to implement and manage large scale marketing automation campaigns in a variety of different vertical markets
- Analytically minded with extensive experience in analytics

Specific duties and responsibilities to support your roles:
- Lead the end-to-end strategy for configuration and implementation of marketing automation platform selection, workflows, campaigns, optimizations, reports, and billing
- Own and optimize the department’s future-forward planning, research, industry trends, best practices, and evolving tactics
- Create strategic workflow plans that integrate databases (e.g., CRM, data warehouse/lake, reports) and MAPs for marketing purposes to align with business and campaign goals to create effective and measurable solutions
- Integrate the department with ddm’s internal marketing efforts
- Onboard and train new marketing automation team members
- Integrate with account service teams
- Determine marketing automation solutions to reach client audiences, goals, and objectives
- Multi-task across multiple campaigns and clients
- Help grow ddm roster of clients that leverage marketing automation services
